NORTHERN IRELAND OYSTER EATING CHAMPIONSHIP
Thursday 4th September
This is the pathway to glory! Join us in The Plough Inn Marquee for the Northern Ireland regional oyster eating finals. The winners will qualify to compete in the World Championship which will take place in The Square on Saturday 6th September. Presentations will also be made to the winners of the Canadian Boat Race and the Tug-Of-War. There’ll be live music from the popular band The Scoundrels with Guinness and oyster promotions during the course of the evening.
THE 16TH WORLD OYSTER EATING CHAMPIONSHIP

This is the big one! Join us from 3.30pm to see if our line-up of international contenders can match or even surpass previous oyster-eating triumphs. Find out which one of them will be crowned the 2008 World Oyster Eating Champion. The event will be held on the Guinness Gig Rig in The Square. The special guest presenter will be May McFettridge. Not to be missed!
